Cal Poly Pomona is a member of the 23-campus California State University system, the largest public university system in the U.S., known for providing an accessible quality education. Cal Poly Pomona University Divisions


Management of the university is divided into six divisions.

The Division of Academic Affairs oversees the university’s academic endeavors, including the colleges and departments.

The Division of Administrative Affairs provides fiscal, human and facility services in support of the university community.

The Division of Information Technology offers innovative, strategic and cost-appropriate technology services for the university.

The Office of the President includes: 

  • The Division of People, Culture and Institutional Affairs, which includes, but is not limited to:  
    • Conflict resolution services and Ombuds
    • Employee and Organizational Development and Advancement/Human Resources Operations, which strives to inspire employees to use their best skills and talents in the pursuit of excellence;  
    • Employee/Labor Relations and Compliance, which supports and sustains positive and effective working relationships at CPP through dynamic solutions to employee and labor relations matters; and 
    • Strategic Communications, which engages, informs and inspires internal and external communities through storytelling and transparent communications 
  • Outreach, Recruitment & Educational Partnerships connects CPP with future Broncos and ensures they have the guidance needed to succeed in their academic journey 
  • The Office of Equity and Compliance administers our Title IX/ Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation processes and cultivates a campus environment where members of our community can learn and work free of sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment and retaliation. 

The Division of Student Affairs provides student-centered programs and services that promote learning and success.

The Division of University Advancement generates support for the university through fundraising, stewardship and external relations.

Cal Poly Pomona Organizational Governance


A number of organizations are involved in the university’s governance.

The Academic Senate is the official voice of the university faculty and the primary consultative body in issues related to education and academic policies.

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is CPP’s student government as well as a non-profit corporation that serves students on many levels. 

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is a public-benefit, charitable-educational organization that supports the university community by providing goods and services, and developing assets and resources. 

Cal Poly Pomona is a part of the 23-campus California State University (CSU) system. The CSU is led by a chancellor and overseen by a 25-member Board of Trustees.
